Scholarships & Tuition Assistance

Music lessons for your children, grandchildren and yourself are now within easier reach. The Chelsea Center for the Arts has expanded our music scholarship and tuition assistance program to give families a helping hand. 

Each year, a limited amount of financial assistance is available to fund whole or partial tuition for applicants for lessons, as funds are available. To date, eighteen students have benefited from scholarship & tuition assistance.

The deadline for Winter/Spring 2010 tuition assistance has passed. Please stay tuned for next semester scholarship submission guidelines.

Eligibility & Requirements

Individuals and groups who reside in Chelsea and the surrounding region may apply. There are no age restrictions.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need and express a passion for learning music or growing his or her ability. Recipients must commit to volunteer 10 hours of time to the CCA during each session in which they are receiving tuition assistance. (10 hours during the 22 week Winter-Spring semester, 10 hours during the 12-week Summer semester and 10 hours during the 16-week Fall semester.)

Winston Scholarships
in Art & Voice

For ages 16-22, $20,000 in Scholarships Applications are available for private study, special training and for personal advancement in the applicant's future career in art or voice. Details and application forms are available online at the National Society of Arts and Letters - a non-profit volunteer organization creating opportunities for young artists.
