Who are our instructors?
Full bios and information are available on our Meet our Instructors page.

How long are the lessons?
Most instructors offer 30, 45, and 60-minute lesson options. These are usually held once per week over the course of a semester.

Chelsea Center for the Arts offers three full semesters during the school year plus a shorter summer semester. Students may enroll partway through the semester, provided there is available space, for a pro-rated tuition rate.

How long is a semester?
Registration is based on a semester package. Each instructor designs his or her own semester package and may consist of both private and group lessons. Contact your instructor for details. The semester dates are as follows:

  • Summer 2010: June 14 - September 5 (8 -11 weeks)
  • Fall 2010: September 6 - December 19 (15 weeks)
  • Winter/Spring 2011: January 3 - June 13 (22 weeks)
  • Summer 2011: June 14 - September 4 (12 weeks)

Each private music instructor designs his or her semester package, comprised of a set number of private and group lessons for the entire semester. The individual instructors also handle their own teaching schedules. New private music students should arrange a consultation with the prospective instructor. Once you have established a lesson time with your private instructor, you may contact the CCA office for a registration form and student handbook, which are also available on our website.
